ABOUT ME

Textile & Fashion Print Designer

I am Donata Margiotta, an Italian fashion print designer specialized in creating textile patterns for fashion brands and fabric manufacturers. My work is defined by a romantic and organic aesthetic, where botanical elements, animals, and natural textures intertwine to create expressive and timeless prints.

I studied fashion design at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan, in Milán where I developed a strong foundation in textile creativity, visual research, and pattern design.

Throughout my career I have worked as a freelance textile designer, collaborating with different projects in the fashion industry while also combining my creative practice with teaching. Living in Spain has allowed me to share my experience through fashion design courses in several Andalusian cities.

In 2018, I founded my own print design brand, dedicated to creating original prints for fashion collections. My creative process combines hand-drawing techniques with digital textile design, resulting in a distinctive visual language inspired by nature and visual storytelling.

I develop complete print collections for fashion, managing the entire creative process: from concept and moodboard development to pattern creation, technical sheets, and the application of prints to garments.
